Dr. Kim has more than three decades in medical training and experience. She decided to become a physician after witnessing the dedication her father showed towards his work and his patients.
She started her education at Brown University and received her undergraduate degree in Human Biology. Dr. Kim attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, and proceeded with her residency at the University Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Afterward, she moved to Georgia to begin her fellowship in gastroenterology at Emory University in Atlanta, which she completed in 1993.
Dr. Kim and her family moved to the Greenville area in 1998 and fell in love with the family-oriented culture. Now that she’s an empty-nester, she enjoys baking, gardening, dancing and arts-and-crafts projects.
Dr. Kim’s approach to patient care is fostering a collaborative long-term relationship. She also believes patient education is the keystone to more meaningful medical decision-making and improved patient compliance to treatment.
